Over 19,000 people have pledged to storm Loch Ness Thousands of people online have promised to go and hunt down the Loch Ness monster.

The Facebook event, which has been titled 'Storm Loch Ness, Nessie can't hide from us all', has gained mass attention.

It's members claim to descend on the freshwater lake for an overnight raid, in a bid to track down the folklore legend.

The now-viral campaign has taken inspiration from the famous social media 'Storm Area 51' page, which claims that a large group of people are going to raid the top-secret military base in Nevada.

However, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has warned against the campaign to storm Loch Ness The RNLI said in a statement
