Nigerian police detained anti-government protesters during a rally near Lagos National Stadium on Monday, August 5, according to Vanguard.
The protests took place after one of the key organizers, Omoyele Sowore, an activist, news organization founder and former presidential candidate, was arrested on Sunday, August 4.
This footage, filmed near the stadium in Surulere, shows a man being forced into the back of a Lagos State Taskforce vehicle.
Photos and videos published on social media show a large group of protesters surrounded by heavily armed security forces.
Media reports said authorities forcefully dispersed protesters, leaving some people injured.
