A police officer kicks in a truck's windscreen to rescue a motorist trapped in floodwater after he tried to drive across a road in China.

The CCTV video, filmed in Zigong city in southern China's Sichuan province on September 10, shows a car breaking down and getting trapped in the deep floodwater.

Two police officers tried to open the doors and windows but failed.

Then one policeman stood onto the bonnet and used his foot to kick the front windscreen.

After the windscreen broke, the police officers took the driver out of the truck.

The truck driver was rescued successfully.
