This is a fundraising event is not for the faint of heart.
Melissa is here now to tell us about some thrill seekers who are going to be seeking a thrill for a good cause.
Melissa, many people might not know what is your organization does.
Can you tell us?
>> in a nutshell, we provide free mental health treatment for children who have been through abuse or trauma.
>> you do help a lot of kids.
>> about a hundred 50 kids.
>> that's impressive.
Just talking to officials at the city, the county, this is such a service that is needed.
Many people don't even think about it because it is maybe not in our backyard but across the street, down the street, on the other side of the city.
You just don't know about it.
How can we help you guys support this cause?
>> the main thing is believed kids when they tell you what happens.
>> and then we can help you in another way, to tell us about this event.
>> on saturday we have our over the edge event.
This is our second annual over the edge event where participants agree to repel eight stories.
>> that's exciting.
Do you think people get a little nervous when they get up there?
>> just bringing it up but this is a company that goes over the edge.
There ready to do their thousand event and they do hundreds of nonprofits across north america.
They have done this time and again.
They have put everything from kids into wheelchairs to 98 or hundred -year-olds.
So, it is very safe and just one of the things we have to wrap our mind around.
>> you said it was safe, when can people sign up?
And they start signing up right now and the cost, i know you can get sponsorships is that correct.
>> we have around 40 people that are currently going to be going over on saturday.
They have been signing up for months.
The hurdle for a lot of people is raising not thousand dollars because that is the threshold.
>> that's exciting.
