A Targaryen 'Game of Thrones' Prequel Is in the Works 'Game of Thrones' author George R.R.

Martin is writing the script for the program's pilot.

According to multiple outlets, it is close to receiving a TV order.

The show will be an adaptation of Martin's book, 'Fire & Blood.'

'Fire and Blood' mainly focuses on the Targaryen family and how they came to rule.

Its setting will be 300 years before everything that transpired on the show.

That places it after the other planned spin-off that HBO is working on.

The show, which does not yet have an official title, is currently in production.
