Homeowners are cleaning up their homes and yards after severe storms hit Grant County Thursday night.

Gabriella bachara shares how one resident worked through the night to save his home.

I looked outside and i said look at our yard... it's gone."

Roger halverson lives off of highway 133 which runs through woodman.

&lt;roger halverson> (((04;58;49;29 "they told us last night to evacuate, as much water as was here and i said i'm not leaving my home.

I said i got my three dogs, my cat and my girlfriend in the house.

I said i'm not leaving my home."

04;59;00;27))) so havlverson stayed... &lt;roger halverson> (((04;59;42;14 "i was out there standing and i had water up to my waist."04;59;47;05))) and tried to save his home.

&lt;roger halverson> (((04;56;54;28 " it's came down that hill just furiously.

And i'm like what am i supposed to do?

I had water coming out of my septic tank so i called 9-1-1.

I just had them come in here with the fire trucks and everybody helped me out" 04;57;11;00))) highway 133 is the same road that caused the boscobel school to close today.

&lt;wally byrne/principal, boscobel middle school/high school> (((04;49;39;20 "we had impassable roads as of 9 o'clock... 9:30 last night.

The county had gotten ahold of us and said there were some mudslide issues.

There was a culvert that was out in an area... and our buses would have a hard time getting through that area even if they worked through the night."

04;49;58;18))) he said he hasn't seen school canceled from flooding before.
