A former wsu student has been convicted of extorting women over nude photos.

24-year-old kyle gaumnitz of richland was found guilty in whitman county superior court friday of extortion with sexual motivation.

He was sentenced to over 2-years in prison and 3-years of supervision after release.

Gaumnitz will also be required to register as a sex offender.

At least 5 shots were fired near perry tech in yakima - putting the school on lockdown.
