Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lost his ruling Liberal parliamentary majority.
Trudeau said he would reach out to his opponents after the defeat.
According to Reuters, the prime minister ruled out any kind of coalition government.
Trudeau said: “I am going to take the time necessary to really reflect on how best to serve Canadians.” Liberal officials say Trudeau will seek support in parliament on a case-by-case basis.
This help will most likely come from the left-leaning New Democrats.
