Syria situation still complex despite Baghdadi's death -U.S. officials

U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Army General Mark A.

Milley briefed reporters at the Pentagon after President Trump announced that a U.S. military operation killed Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Rough cut (no reporter narration).

Esper said during the press conference that "despite Baghdadi's death, the security situation in Syria remains complex." Milley said that U.S. special operations forces captured "two adult males" during the weekend raid that killed Baghdadi.

But the general would not confirm Trump's description of al-Baghdadi as "whimpering and crying" before his death, saying "I don't know what the source of that was."
