On Monday in Annapolis, several World War II veterans joined Governor Larry Hogan at the World War II monument.

IN ANNPOLIS━SEVERAL WORLD WAR TWO VETERANSJOINED GOVERNOR LARRY HOGAN ATTHE WORLD WAR TWO MONUMENT.ONE OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE WASVETERAN WILLIAM KEYS.

WMA━2NEWS' DON HARRISON SPOKE TOHIM ABOUT HIS TIME IN WORLDWAR TWO.nat: One nation, under god&..Track: As they recite thepledge of allegiance, there isno questioning the allegianceof William Keys&.

He provedthat 75 years ago in World WarII.

Sot: I was in Patton'sthird army, I was in a tankoutfit.

Track: Patton's thirdarmy captured 956,000 of theenemy during battles andkilled a half a millionothers.

The third armyliberated and conquered 82,000square miles of territory.Sot: I was really a gunner butusually I ran the tank becauseI have a big mouth and I raisehell all the time.

Track: Hedoesn't "raise hell" as muchas he used to but, he is stillproud of his service to ourcountry.

Stand up: Even thoughit wasn't an honorable welcomethat Keys got when he cameback from his service, hestill doesn't hold any hate inhis heart.

Sot: I don't haveany hate or misunderstandingof what's to war or any more Iwould have about slavery orany thing else.

Sot: How areyou&.

Track: Governor Hoganmet Mr. Keys& nats: Track:Governor Hogan early this yearsign a proclamation declaring2019 as the year of theveteran.

Hogan thinks weshould do more to thank the380,000 veterans that live inMaryland.
