Meghan Markle Files Another Lawsuit Against British Tabloid.
17, Meghan Markle filed additional court documents against ‘The Mail on Sunday’ and their parent company, Associated Newspapers.
Expanding on her initial suit against the two entities in October, the new 15-page document details specific stories that are “untrue and offensive.”.
The published stories in question include allegations that Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, spent taxpayer money to soundproof their home, as well as build a tennis court and yoga studio.
The clear intention was to portray the Claimant in a damaging light by suggesting that she had indulged in this series of absurdly lavish renovations, which were in fact false (as the Defendant was informed at the time) and entirely made up.

It also includes the tabloid’s claim that Markle’s baby shower cost $300,000 and that she didn’t invite her mother to attend.
The suggestion that the Claimant deliberately left out her mother from her baby shower and ditched her in favor of her famous friends is untrue and offensive to her, Meghan Markle Lawsuit, via Byline Investigates.
‘The Mail on Sunday’ has since responded to the new legal documents, saying they still intend to defend the case “with vigor.”.
