The man accused of shooting at police during a standoff over the summer appeared in Oneida County Court.

Ding a seven- hour standoff on route 46 in august, was in oneida county court today.

Police say 35-year-old justin carter barricaded himself in a barn off of route 46 and shot a long gun at police officers and vehicles.

The judge today granted carter a few hearings, and, allowed his attorney to file a late notice regarding a psychiatric defense.

His attorney has said that carter has spent 14 years in the military, so it was taking a long time to get all those records.
