After 12 years, Carrie Underwood is stepping down as the host of the Country Music Awards (CMA).
According to CNN, the country star made the official announcement on Instagram.
In her Instagram post, the singer reminisced on wonderful memories with her longtime co-host Brad Paisley.
Underwood said that one of the highlights of her career was being on stage with Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.
Underwood went on to say that she was proud to celebrate female artists that are part of the legacy of country music.
Underwood didn't mention any specific projects coming in 2020.
Prior to Underwood and Paisley hosting, the CMA's were mainly host-free.
