Indian, Vietnamese & Tibetan community hold anti-China protest in Washington

Members of the Indian, Vietnamese and the Tibetan communities held a protest outside the Capitol Hill in Washington against China.

The protesters were holding anti-China posters, urging people to boycott Chinese products.

They shouted slogans against China's expansionist policies against their neighbours.

Posters urging China to vacate Akshai Chin and Kashmir were also seen during the protest.

Since the Galwan standoff between India and China, anti-China protests have broken out in several cities in the United States.

'China is aggressively trying to steal the land from India in Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh.

They are intimidating Bhutan.

They have also claimed that the Tajikistan mountains belong to them.

Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Russia are also victims of China's expansionist policies', said a protester Adapa Prasad.

Members of Vietnamese community also lashed out against the Communist government of China and said that their fight is against the CCP and not the people of China.

China's expansionist policy has been slammed by countries across the world.

China also faced flak for the Galwan faceoff where 20 India jawans were killed.

The Tibetan community across the world is angry about China's recent aggression in Ladakh and they accused Beijing for occupying Tibet for the past several decades. The Tibetan National Congress led by President Tseten Lhagyal also held solidarity prayers as a tribute to brave SFF commando Nyima Tenzin. Watch: Message to China as Tibetan soldier killed at LAC gets public funeral

A funeral with mass public participation was held in Ladakh for a martyred Tibetan soldier. Company Leader Nyima Tenzin, of the Special Frontier Force, was killed in a landmine explosion during an operation at the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh, on August 29-30. The army truck carrying his mortal remains was adorned with the Indian tricolour and the Tibetan flag. Many people followed the truck on their vehicles, carrying the same flags. Chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Tibet Desh Ki Jai' were heard at the venue of the cremation. The forces bid adieu to the fallen soldier with full military honours, including a gun salute by a ceremonial guard. The solemn ceremony was attended by top politicians like Ram Madhav and Lok Sabha member Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, both from the Bharatiya Janata Party. As per experts, this was the first time that a soldier of the SFF was given a public funeral. It could be seen as a message to China amid the current border standoff. Chinese forces also occupy Tibet, and India has acted as a haven for Tibetans, including their spiritual leader Dalai Lama, fleeing persecution.

After trying to change the status quo in the southern bank of the Pangong Tso lake in Ladakh, now the Chinese embassy in India has accused the Indian Army of violating the consensus reached during the talks between two sides. Responding to a media query by the Spokesperson of Chinese Embassy in India, Counselor Ji Rong said that India troops illegally trespassed the Line of Actual Control and conducted violations which stirred tension in the border areas. The Indian Army had on Monday said that it thwarted Chinese Army's attempt to change the status quo in the Pangong Tso lake area. India and China have been engaged in a tiff along the Line of Actual Control since May 2020. The tension had also led to violent faceoff in the Galwan valley on 15 June which had led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers. The two sides have since been engaged in talks to de-escalate and disengage but not much progress has been made in this regard. Watch the full video for all the details.
