Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated Delhi Government's E-filing consumer complaint system on September 08.

The inauguration took place via video conferencing.

Under this system, both advocates and people will be able to file their complaints from home and the service is available 24/7.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claimed that Delhi is the first state in the country to launch this system.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke about the government’s ambitious plans for electric vehicles at the 18th edition of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. The minister said that the cost of electric vehicles is high due to the cost of lithium-ion batteries and added that the cost is coming down steadily as well. ‘A mobile phone used to cost a lot in the past but is much more affordable today. Electric vehicles are costly now but their running cost is low,’ Gadkari said. ‘We are developing electric buses, e-double-decker buses. A pilot project is being considered for e-highway between Delhi and Mumbai. Just like railway, I want to see electric trucks on our highways,’ Gadkari added. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the government of the national capital is going to formally file petition at Air Quality Commission requesting the body to issue directions for every state (dealing with stubble burning) to implement use of bio-decomposers to remove stubble, so that the air pollution can be curbed. He said that Delhi Government is going to show the report which came from the fields of Delhi where PUSA's bio decomposer was sprayed and almost 70-95 per cent stubble has been converted into compost.
