Border Security Force (BSF) held second round of recruitment process in form of written test on Oct 18 for the post of constable in BSF and CISF for youth from 22 districts of J-K and Ladakh. Thousands Kashmiri youth participated in the recruitment drive in Budgam. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing norm was followed at the test center. After physical test, 5,151 male and 438 female candidates were found fit to appear for the written test today.
Border Security Force (BSF) held second round of recruitment process in form of written test on Oct 18 at 9 centers including Srinagar, Bandipore, Baramulla, Kupwara, Gurez Tangdhar, Nubra Valley and so on for the post of constable in BSF - CISF for youth from 22 districts of J-K and Ladakh. After physical test, 5,151 male and 438 female candidates were found fit to appear for the written test today.
Security forces recovered cache of arms and ammunition in J&K’s Akhnoor. Forces said the ammunition was dropped by a Pakistani drone across LOC. An official confirmed that the arms and ammunition were dropped in a rivulet by the Pakistani drone. It is the fifth incident since June 20 when a similar drone was shot down by the Border Security Force (BSF). On September 19, another Pakistani drone had dropped arms in J&K’s Rajouri. Top Indian Army officials were seen in New Delhi at the National War Memorial on Tuesday. The officials had gathered on the occasion of Infantry Day. Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane were seen at the National War Memorial. The officials paid tribute at NWM. Indian Army observes Infantry Day every year on October 27 to mark the landing of first Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir.
