TRS leader K Kavitha on Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections expressed her confidence in party's lead. "TRS is winning in most seats. As voting was by paper ballot, we have to wait 3-4 hours to get exact numbers. I believe BJP numbers will further decline and heavy support for TRS will surface. We'll have our mayor and do public works uninterrupted," said TRS leader.
With the BJP facing setbacks in the Maharashtra Legislative Council polls, its leader Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said his party failed to gauge the combined strength of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies. He said the party will analyse the poll results and prepare for the next election in a better way. In a setback to the opposition party, MVA candidates have so far won three out of five constituencies- three graduates' and two teachers'. Speaking to ANI in Bihar's Patna on December 04, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav spoke on all-party meeting on COVID-19.Yadav said, "Despite being the single largest party of Bihar, RJD has not been invited for the all-party meeting to discuss the COVID-19 situation." "It shows that the meeting is just show-off," he added.
Briefing about the plans to ensure implementation of ban on crackers to control pollution in Delhi, Police Commissioner, SN Shrivastava informed that teams have been formed in every Police district. "In view of pollution, use/sale of crackers is banned (in Delhi). Strict laws in place, strict action will be taken against anyone found bursting/selling crackers. Team formed in every Police district, they inspect their respective areas," said Commissioner SN Shrivastava.
A man from Hardoi climbed atop a water tank along with his family in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Family demanded action from Hardoi administration against local goons, who allegedly attempted to grab their property and encroached upon their house. They threatened to commit suicide if their demands are not fulfilled. One of the villagers said, "Police is taking care of them, they are being provided food."
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut reacted on Republic TV's editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami's arrest in a 2018 suicide case of interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother. He said that before protesting for Goswami, BJP's cabinet ministers and its leaders in Maharashtra should meet Naik's family and understand the pain from which they went through in past two years. Raut backed Maharashtra Police by asserting Police is independent for the investigation and he assured that there will be no injustice to anyone. Recently, Anvay Naik's wife and daughter thanked Maharashtra Police for the action in the case and hoped for justice. Naik killed himself in 2018 and named Arnab Goswami and two others in his suicide note.
A scuffle broke out between West Bengal's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and Police in Bagnan area of Howrah district, on October 29. BJP was agitating against death of a party worker who succumbed to his gunshot injuries on October 28. BJP workers alleged that he was shot at by All India Trinamool Congress' worker. The political party had also called for a 12-hour bandh in Howrah.

There is no law for them but there is one for BJP workers if they protest democratically against murders of party workers. We trust the judiciary. We'll go to Court, Human Rights Commission and Women's Commission," he added.
After TMC leader Suvendu Adhikari resigned as Bengal Transport Minister, National general secretary of BJP, Kailash Vijayvargiya said he is welcomed in the party. "Suvendu (Adhikari) ji was upset with Mamata Banerjee's arrogance and corruption. He resigned because of her, I feel so. If Suvendu ji comes to BJP, he will be welcomed. Dilip Ghosh, president of BJP's West Bengal unit, trained his guns on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as the poll campaign picks up pace. Ghosh said Banerjee gets terrified whenever senior BJP leaders like PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah visit the state.
