Residence and office of Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik are being raided in Thane on November 24 by officials of Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case. The security is deployed at his residence during the search process. The Enforcement Directorate also detained Pratap Sarnaik's son Vihang Sarnaik from their residence.
Enforcement Directorate on October 19 questioned former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah in connection with the alleged misappropriation of Rs 43 crore when he was the chairman of JandK Cricket Association. He said, "This questioning has been going on for many years, it is nothing new. I am not going to say anything. The Court will decide what is to be done. I am not worried."
BPJ president JP Nadda took a jibe at Congress and J&K leaders in Hyderabad. He said, “In Jammu and Kashmir, NC leader Farooq Abdullah says he'll seek China's help to restore Article 370. PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti says she'll not raise tricolour until Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq’s flag is restored. These are our national leaders. Congress opposes Modi ji but ends up opposing the country. It stands with Gupkar alliance.” Nadda held a roadshow in Hyderabad on Friday ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election. BJP lashed out at the Congress over the Gupkar alliance in Kashmir. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad demanded that the Congress party should clear its stand on the restoration of Article 370 in the valley. ‘I want to ask Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, do they want restoration of Article 370? Please tell the nation categorically and clearly does the Congress support annulment of pro-people laws?’ Prasad asked. The Minister also asked whether the Congress party supports Farooq Abdullah’s statement on seeking China’s help for restoration of Article 370 and Mehbooba Mufti’s remark on the Indian flag. Prasad said that the Congress will be asked these questions until they clear their stand. ‘Will congress support annulment of all pro-people & pro-poor laws passed by the Parliament following the abrogation of Article 370 in the valley?, Prasad asked. The mortal remains of Sepoy Yash Deshmukh were brought to his residence on November 28. Locals held the tricolour as mortal remains of the 21-year-old Deshmukh reached his native village. He was killed in action during terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on November 26. Two soldiers were killed in the attack by terrorists in the HMT area located on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
The newly-elected mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party on November 27. He joined party in the presence of Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari. "Apni Party has pinned many hopes on the calibre of this young man," said Bukhari in the press conference.
The people of Kashmir Valley celebrated the annual Urs of Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA), popularly known as Peer Dastageer Sahib with full enthusiasm. Devotees offered prayers at Dastageer Sahib in Srinagar. As per Islamic calendar, the Urs begins on 1st day of Rabi Al Thani. However, this year, shrines as well as devotees have to follow COVID-19 guidelines. The festival plays a vital role for the people of Kashmir.
BJP leader N Ramchander Rao on Gupkar Alliance in Jammu and Kashmir said that the parties and stakeholders of the Gupkar Alliance are Anti-India. He further accused the alliance of speaking pro-Pakistan voice. Ramchander Rao said, "After abrogation of Article 370, the PDP and National Conference are changing their stand from time to time. Now in the coming Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections, the BJP has very clearly stated that election will be on development basis and section 370 will not be abrogated at any point of time. So now the Gupkar Alliance parties and all the stakeholders in that are Anti-India and they speak pro-Pakistan voice."
The Indian National Congress is in talks with the 'People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration' to jointly contest upcoming local-level elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The Gupkar grouping is led by Farooq Abdullah-led National Conference (NC) and Mehbooba Mufti's People's Democratic Party (PDP), and consists of some other smaller parties. J&K will soon vote in District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat elections. Congress' Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that it was an opportunity for people to democratically express anger against those who forcefully levy laws on J&K. Meanwhile, Congress' partner in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena slammed the PDP chief. Commenting on Mufti's appeal to India and Pakistan to resume dialogue, Sanjay Raut said that her anti-national ideology should be stamped out. Watch the full video for more.

Seven mainstream parties of Jammu and Kashmir, including the PDP and the National Conference (NC), have formed the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) for the restoration of the special status of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. NC chief Farooq Abdullah said that congress is also a part of the grouping. Abdullah said that Congress will contest upcoming District Development Council (DDC) polls as part of alliance. However, Congress leaders in J&K seem to be divided on the Gupkar question. Congress leader Rajinder Singh Chib said Gupkar members speak against the tricolor and the constitution and that joining those parties won’t be good for Congress. Ravinder Sharma, another Congress leader said that secular parties should make electoral adjustments but they oppose statements which are not in national interest.
