Huntsville protesters appear in court

We start with the protestors who appeared in court today.
5 of them pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Other hearings just finished up.
Waay 31's grace campbell just stepped outside of those hearings to tell us the outcome the case against three protesters facing charges went to a trial.
Witnesses for the prosecution and defense testified about what happened during that night of protests.
Earlier today, five people pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
The were all fined.
The minimum fine- 364 dollars.
Attorney joel sullivan the "huntsville police citizens advisory council" expects to complete its comprehensive review of how officers responded to the protest - this month.
As you can see - officers used a combination of tear gas and rubber bullets to try to force protesters to clear the streets.
The police chief says their actions were necessary to protect the city and its citizens.
