Last year’s Beirut port blast shattered dozens of rare pieces of Roman and medieval glassware in the American University of Beirut’s archaeological museum.

Since then, conservators and students have been trying to make sense of a pile of thousands of pieces of broken glass, reassembling a small but important part of Lebanon’s rich ancient past.
